COVID-19 UPDATE:
Following the advice from SDSFA, ALL players and close contacts from Greenway Park Public School and Bonnyrigg High School are REQUIRED to self isolate until contact tracing can be completed. Please follow the advice to stay home, wash hands, monitor symptoms and get tested. Please inform your coach if you are self-isolating.

Responding to Reported School Cases of Covid-19

Where a school is closed due to Covid-19 or a school notice or NSW Health notice has been issued due to a student or students testing positive to Covid-19, students will be advised to self-isolate as a precaution until contact tracing can be undertaken by NSW Health to identify students and teachers at the school who have come into “close contact” with the positive case/s.

When this occurs:

Students identified by NSW Health as “close contacts” will be advised by NSW Health to self-isolate and get tested;

Once contact tracing is completed by NSW Health and other students are advised that they are no longer required to self-isolate, those students who are not required to self-isolate will be required to monitor for symptoms and if they become symptomatic they will then be required to self-isolate and get tested.

Therefore:

* Any players who have been identified as a “positive case” are not permitted to participate in football until they are cleared of Covid-19 and are no longer required by NSW Health to self-isolate.
* Any players who have been identified as a “close contact” and are self-isolating are not permitted to participate in football until they are no longer required by NSW Health to self-isolate;
* Any players who attend the same school are not permitted to participate in football until NSW Health has completed contact tracing to identify students who are “close contacts”;
* Once contact tracing is completed, any players who attend the same school can continue to participate in football as usual, except those who are required to self-isolate.

As some of you may be aware, two students from Greenway Park Public School and one student from Bonnyrigg High School have tested positive for COVID-19.
For now we ask for all players and close contacts who attend these schools not attend training this week and follow self isolation procedures until further advice is given.
We will advise of any changes once we have more information from SDSFA, Football NSW and NSW Health.
If you have any concerns please contact us. If you aren't attending training, please contact your coach to inform them.
If you are experiencing ANY symptoms, please stay home, self isolate and get tested.
We thank you for your cooperation during these difficult times.
